You really need to see the show that is currently on at ACAD. Iran do Espirito Santo’s wall drawings are beautiful and the Illingworth Kerr Gallery has never looked so good. The show has been extended to October 2. Don’t miss it.

Congrats Nancy

Nancy Tousley was one of eight recipients named this morning for the Governor General’s Awards in Visual and Media Arts. Nancy is being honoured with the Outstanding Contribution Award for her career as an art critic and journalist.

Nancy is an award-winning senior art critic, arts journalist and independent curator. Nancy is well known and respected in the local art scene here. She was the Calgary Herald’s art critic for 30 years but has a new gig at the Alberta College of Art and Design as Critic in Residence. Great title for the business card, don’t you think.

So congrats Nancy. Well deserved.
