“Every thing I do, I do for love”
Obsessed? You bet.
Marian Bantjes decided to make Valentines Day her thing when she made a career adjustment in her early 40s. Here’s her 2011 edition. Watch the video on Lynda.com if you haven’t already.
It’s the perfect day to be inspired by the love of design.
Key to a happy new year

German typographer Harald Geisler designed my new 2012 calendar (thanks PB) and it’s a beauty. I love the soft colour and the subtle tones, it’s a nice twist on the modern mosaic. And the meticulous process – it’s a good concept (watch the video on Harold’s site). Bonus points for also being easy to use, with a left to right read and colour triggers to mark the passing of each month.
I’ve added a little green dot that I intended to move each day (although it hasn’t been moved lately I’ll admit). For those of us who used these plastic keyboards (remember how grubby they could be?) it’s nice to see that the old components can be recycled to create something special as part of Harold’s project.
Oh Mo
As office festivities continue, the Mo brothers again use their charms to become top contenders in the ugliest Christmas sweater competition. Note this is the signed edition. Very collectible.
MoBros live on?
We are now in a mustache-free December. Or are we?
It’s a week of Christmas festivities in the office and this image of the Mobros arrived in my email box this morning. Now we will be voting on the ugliest Christmas sweater tomorrow, and no doubt the brothers have worked hard at this competition – I think they are all contenders.
But they promised the ‘staches would go. It’s troubling.
